Medtronic Diabetes' OneTouch
UltraLink Meter Just OK'ed by FDA
On April 28, Medtronic announced
that the FDA had already cleared the OneTouch UltraLink Meter as the new
wireless meter exclusively certified by Medtronic Diabetes of Northridge
(formerly MiniMed) to wirelessly communicate
with its diabetes management products. This new
meter uses Medtronic's wireless technology to transmit glucose
readings directly to MiniMed Paradigm insulin pumps and the
Guardian
REAL-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring System. This makes bolus dosing more
accurate and easier for patients compared to the manual entry of data.
