Event Focus
Can Medtech and Biotech Weather the Current Economic Turmoil?

Recent studies contend that -- notwithstanding the worldwide credit slowdown that has stalled public-equity financing -- the medtech industry's fundamentals are strong and key drivers, such as the aging populations, the spread of chronic conditions and an expected surge in demand for companion diagnostics for use with new generations of targeted therapeutics, will fuel industry's growth in the coming years. Others contend that -- with a complicated regulatory environment, changes in patent law, and fast technological change --  the medtech industry is going through a period of growing pains that may result in a slow down. Join us to participate in a discussion about the future of the medtech industry as a job growth driver throughout the U.S., in general, and in the Greater Los Angeles region, in particular.
