Program

Stretching your R&D budget through partnerships and alliances

In today’s difficult economic climate, R&D expenditures are under considerable scrutiny, pressuring companies to demonstrate strong ROI to their investors. Some companies are being forced to make cuts to their R&D budgets, which could prove to have long term consequences for their bottom line. Finding ways to maximize the return on R&D expenditures is critical for these companies. This conference will explore Canada ’s generous R&D tax credit program, offering solutions to Southern California-based companies looking to maximize their R&D dollar, even for those that are pre-revenue looking to maximize their R&D dollars.

What you will learn:

  • The ins and outs of Canada ’s Tax Credit Program and the Ontario & Quebec Government “top-up” incentive programs;
  • A case study of an OC company that took advantage of these incentives
  • What kind of research and development projects can qualify.
  • The differences between California and Canadian programs.

Who should attend:

C-Level Executives, Founders, Managers, and in-house counsel responsible for research and development, particularly of start-up or emerging growth companies that conduct their own research and development. The program will also be useful for company advisors and investors in support of corporate research and development interests, i.e. advisory board members, investors, financial service providers.

Brought to you in Partnership with:

The Consulate General of Canada (LA), the Ontario International Marketing Center (LA), and the Quebec Delegation ( Los Angeles ), including Invest Quebec
